Rebekah Young is a neurodivergent author and a graduate of Sheridan College’s Creative Writing and Publishing program. You can find Rebekah’s work in The Publisher’s Desk and B222 Journal. Her poetry was shortlisted in the Sheridan Reads Writing Contest. Her short stories have received first prize and an honourable mention in the Power of the Pen Writing Contest. Currently, she’s volunteering with Augur Magazine as a first reader. She has also volunteered with the Telling Tales Festival.

Rebekah has been writing since kindergarten and doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Right now, she is writing a short story collection and a young adult mystery novel. Currently, she gains inspiration from random thrifted objects, people-watching, songs and long car rides. When she’s not writing, you can find her knitting, wandering in the woods, attending church or being pretentious in her local library. Her favourite books include To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, Disfigured: On Fairy Tales, Disability, and Making Space by Amanda Leduc and Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger.
